Privacy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how to see it, correct it or have it deleted.

Our full privacy policy under the Privacy Act 1988 is being finalised. Until it is published here, this page sets out what we collect and how to reach us about it, and we will send the complete policy on request.

What we collect

Your mobile number, which is how an account is identified here rather than an email address, along with a record of the verification codes sent to it and whether each was used. Your name and email address where you give them.

Delivery addresses, stored as the address you chose from Google Places together with its identifier and coordinates, so a courier is sent to the right door rather than to a best guess at a line of text. Any access notes you add, such as where to leave an order.

Your orders from both rooms, what was in them, what they cost, and the delivery or pick-up against each. Where an order was weighed after picking, the weights and the adjusted amount.

Your rewards balance, kept as a ledger — every earn and every spend, rather than only the current number — and your membership, its plan, and what it has saved you.

What you have agreed to hear from us about, kept as a history of every change rather than only the latest setting. That is deliberate: it is what lets us show when a preference was set, and honour a withdrawal without argument.

Messages you send us, which become numbered support conversations, and our replies.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Square. Card numbers are entered into Square’s own secure fields and held by Square rather than by us — where you save a card for next time, we keep Square’s reference to it and the last few digits, not the number.

Links in our emails

Links that open your contact preferences, or a survey about an order, work without a login. They carry a signed token identifying the record they belong to, so unsubscribing takes one click rather than a password reset. Anyone with the link can use it, so treat those emails as you would any other message about your account, and tell us if one has been forwarded.

Seeing, correcting or deleting what we hold

Most of it is on your own account screens: your profile, your addresses, your orders, your rewards and your contact preferences, which you can change yourself at any time.

For anything not on those screens — a copy of everything we hold, a correction, a deletion, or a complaint about how we have handled your information — write to us and we will reply.
